FRIED BITTER GOURD SALAD (KARAVILA SAMBOL)

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 bitter melons
  • 1 medium size onion
  • 2 green chilies
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 tbsp of lime juice
  • salt
  • Oil for deep frying

METHOD

  1. Cut bitter melon, onion, tomato and green chilies into thin slices.
  2. Season bitter melon with salt and put into a deep hot oil fry until golden brown and crisp.
  3. Drain on paper towel.
  4. Combine onion, tomato, green chilies together.
  5. Add salt and lime juice, mix well. Put fried bitter melon and toss.
